Joe has been in Public Education for 26 years, with the past 5 1/2 years as the Superintendent of New Summerfield ISD.  Prior to that he was the Junior High Principal at New Summerfield for 6 1/2 years.  Throughout his time in education, he has had the privilege of teaching and coaching in Dublin, New Caney, and Bullard, Texas.  During those years of teaching and coaching, he developed a strong passion for student growth.  Education has always been more than a profession for him.  He sees it as a calling rooted in service, leadership, and a commitment to helping young people succeed.

He is blessed to be married to his wife, Angela, for 24 years.  They have two wonderful children, Bryce and Brooklyn.  Bryce just graduated from UT Tyler School of Nursing. Brooklyn just received a scholarship to play softball at Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf which allows him the opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy time outdoors.
