Jon Hartgraves has been a dedicated educator and school leader for 33 years. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community leadership across multiple Texas school districts.

Jon began his career in education as a mathematics teacher, serving two years at Connally ISD and six years at Hico ISD. His passion for student achievement and leadership led him into administration, where he served as principal of Hico High School for six years.

Jon went on to serve as Superintendent of Schools for Gordon ISD for seven years and later as Superintendent of Hico ISD for ten years. He currently serves as Superintendent at Archer City ISD.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jon values faith, family, and  community. He and his wife, Valynda, are proud parents of five children and grandparents to three grandchildren. His lifelong dedication to education and service has positively impacted countless students, educators, and families throughout his career.
